Technical AI Safety Projects Sprint (July-August 2026)

BlueDot Impact's Technical AI Safety Project, hosted in-person by BAISH in Buenos Aires (venue TBD). Make your first real contribution to AI safety research or engineering in 30 hours. For those with a solid grasp of AI safety fundamentals ready to go from understanding to building, whether through our Technical AI Safety course or equivalent background. Facilitated by the BAISH team. Free. 6-week sprint, weekly in-person check-ins, in Spanish, starting in the first week of July (date TBD). Apply by June 24th at 23:59.

We collect your CV or LinkedIn profile solely to evaluate your application to Technical AI Safety Projects, which has a limited number of spots. Providing it is required to complete your application. BAISH - Buenos Aires AI Safety Hub is responsible for this information and keeps it confidential. If you are not selected, we delete your application data once the selection process closes, unless you give us consent to keep it for future cohorts. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time at baish.equipo@gmail.com

Course Details

You can make (perhaps your first!) contribution to AI safety research or engineering in 30 hours. Admission requires having completed the Technical AI Safety course or equivalent (please explain in your application). Admission is competitive.

We may identify strong applicants who would benefit more from starting with the Technical AI Safety course (running on similar dates). Check the box below if you're open to being placed in the Technical AI Safety course instead if recommended.

Your Skills and Motivation

We expect you to be comfortable with coding (e.g. you have a few fully coded projects or code professionally). Let us know what experience you have with programming or research/analytics. Providing links to examples of work is particularly helpful.

We suggest 3-7 bullet points. Tell us your game plan: What steps will you take post-sprint? How does this project unlock those moves? What's your theory of change for AI safety?

We expect participants to have completed the Technical AI Safety course or equivalent. This could include projects you've worked on, blog posts you've written, resources you've read or watched, or events you've organised or attended.

We're looking for builders, not just thinkers. That one project you pulled off, the system you changed, the community you built, or the challenge everyone said couldn't be solved. This is your chance to brag!

Concluding

Please be specific! For example: [Name] recommended it after taking it in Q3 2025 / Saw [name's] LinkedIn post about their experience / Found via search for AI safety courses.

You can nominate more than one person. If we think they're a good fit, we may reach out to them.

If you are not admitted to this cohort, we can keep your application data to consider you for the next one. You can revoke this consent at any time by writing to baish.equipo@gmail.com. Without this consent, your data will be deleted once the selection process closes.

If you opt-in, we may share parts of your application with organisations we trust. They may email you with jobs or other opportunities. This will not affect your application decision. You can opt-out at any time.
